Life is full of untold surprises and that is why we must all be nice with people around us and most importantly love your "neighbor as yourself".
We have heard of stories of individuals whom people thought will never become something in life, rising from grass to grace. Some people are of the believe that it is a stain on their status to even have interactions with people below them.
I have also come across people of great character that when they are called upon no matter how little they have they are always ready to help. These kind of people are God sent because no matter how little they give out, it always meets the needs of the needy.
This brings me to why we need to have a fine character and be approachable in our various surroundings. Lots of times when we are in need of things it is people around us we tend to run for help because most times our families are miles away from us. It is important we maintain good relationship with our neighbors and people around us. Maintaining a good relationship does not necessarily mean getting intimate except at our will with people of like mind.
In essence this write -up is trying to point out the importance of maintaining a healthy relationship with people around us. I have come across people who don't extend. greetings to their neighbours, colleagues and people around them. Some people have millions of things in their homes which is just there without use and have people around them whom these items can be given to but because they have made themselves so unapproachable this makes it difficult to talk to such people. This is kind of a awkward way of living because it is believed that WE ALL NEED EACH OTHER to progress.
This makes me remember a chorus from one of the songs of popular juju musician's King Sunny Ade that goes like this "Eniyan bo ni lara ju aso lo...Eniyan laso iyi mi ti mo fi bora.(Meaning- People's impact in my life is of high esteem than clothes .People are the shield I use in covering myself).
Most importantly it is important we share positive and maintain cordial relationship with people around us by giving out charity to those in need, dishing out kind and polite words, liking what we like for ourselves unto others too and picking our phones to reach out to loved ones to see how they are faring.
This write-up is dedicated to Olori Tima and people out there who like for others what they like for themselves.
