Before "l DO"

The kind of person we choose as a spouse determines the kind of life we live as a family.This makes me remember two important pieces of advice l came across. "Choosing the right better half has to be done correctly as they have the ability to change our life with color s of happiness as well as with heart filled sadness.



"Don't marry the person you can live with .marry the person you can't live without . It very essential we check out the kind of person we are and then use this as yardstick for considering the kind of person we finally settle with. Dr Neil Neil a retired psychologyist says that "choosing well is the foundation for a good marriage. Last time I checked most of marriages are not having that passion it had at the beginning of the marriage.We then ask ourselves this question .what went wrong while choosing our better half? Firstly ,God's divine intervention is greatly needed in this issue and the task of not letting anyone or anything blind our pick. It is very unwise when we set a high and perfect target for ourselves and keep waiting until we met that perfect person.To make matters worst is when we marry for the wrong reasons ,then we have ourselves to blame for such mistake we decided to make.It is therefore important we consider some issues before saying "I DO" Here are some things we n to consider before saying "I DO". Phyiscal Appearance. Religion. Harmony(living together without much differences in views). Your kind of marriage(traditional or modern way). Marrying your best friend.(love is not enough add like to the list. Ambitions(academic or business,vision in life.this is important so no one feels hurt at the others achievement and supports.) One who makes you happy and fun to be with. Accepting each other shortcomings .we need to be realistic .Nobody is perfect and forget fairly tales stories . Are you ready to go extra miles for the other better half? Don't tolerate some attitudes before ,thinking it will fade away after .(things that happens before will surely continue after marriage) And firstly God's hands in choosing .These and more many will guide many intended in choosing a better half.
