"To be a manager, one must be able
to manage her own relationship
with the people around her, as
well as the relationships among
her subordinates. Just being
perfect in paperwork and
operations does not make one a
good manager"
Sophie L. Rose

Understanding the levels of hierarchy in ones place of work saves an individual lots of unnecessary trouble and makes you understand your office politics.
Understand who you direct your reservations and complaints to especially when you work with people who have self esteem issues and are highly covetous.

       Good life
The good life is a term for the life that one would like
to live, or for happiness, simple pleasures that make you happy.
Living the good life means different things to different people.
Taking into account what makes life good one would realize most things we hold on tight to are not really worth it.God's love to us is so tremendous. We have free air to breath and free land to sow and reap in million folds. Not to talk of all the dreams we see coming alive. And that is why we need to look at ourselves in the mirror and say "it's time to appreciate the good life we live""
Living the good life is about overcoming fear and
replacing it with anticipation and joy. It's about chasing
your dreams and finding yourself.
QUESTIONS:
Do you face every aspect of your life with happiness?
Do you live the life by appreciating the life that you live?
Do you care for people around you?
Do maintain a balance life?
Are you open to new ideas?
Do you foster relationship?
Accepting ones short comings and become open to new greater and bigger possibilities makes living the good life effortlessly.
And lots more.......
My Thoughts
I want to live the good life by not dwelling in the past, forgive and forget, become a cheerful giver,be myself, smile often, visit new places, foster relationships, exceed in my passion and most importantly
Where are my handwritten words?

When was the last time you wrote a letter or jot your thoughts down on a paper?

Long long time ago l guess. Remember back in those days we used to write letters and jot down our thoughts and activities. It was fun and a means of showing ones skills at conveying one's thoughts through writing.
Remember those times we learned every spellings, knew almost every meanings to words and loved to show off our new handwriting.
I remember a naughty friend of mine who was always ready to make circles on your grammatical blunders and call you names of those blunders you have spelt for days. (Laughing)what fun we had and it made us better. Oooh!
what excitement we had when expecting a letter and it finally arrived after days of delay.
l used to know an Aunty who kept most letters she had and lamented it for memories. Hmmm! you wonder.

"It was a bond between couples then because they had a challenge of composing more romantic poems than the former one written and in painstakingly handwritings to impress your loved ones "said an older friend of mine.

Our hands, fingers worked and our brains was challenged because we had no check spell to correct the mistakes we make.

Phones and Laptops are exciting to use and less stress on our fingers but our handwritings on papers was more chanlleging, original and more personal for me.

What makes a wedding ceremony have a lasting impression on you?

"Love is composed of a single soul inhibiting two Bodies"

What's makes a wedding ceremony have a lasting impression on you?

There is always something magical about weddings no matter the numbers of weddings one must have witnessed anytime you attend a new one, there is always a whoa effect.

What creates a magical wedding and have a lasting impression varies from people's opinion. With the latest fashion trends now(blocking colours) we are either searching for a new style to sew, cakes to bake, dance steps, or an avenue to meet old and new friends.

As l set to get dressed for the party, memories of my wedding day came me...***winks***
What l remembered most was the wise sayings of the cleric that officiated the programme.
How time flies yet his words keeps ticking in my head.tick tick tick!!!
Hmmmm! So much words.....

"I love you,not for what you are,But for what lam when lam with you"

The Gist....
The venue was breath-taking,the hall was artfully decorated...We had lots of sumptuous meals and sweet drinks to push down the heap of food we had consumed.
I saw lots of beautifully dressed women and men any international model would die to have those clothes and shapes...Make-up's or make over*winks*,music,chandeliers..Lots of beautiful shoes (ooh l love shoes these days)

The couples made everyone jealous when they were ushered in for the reception. They danced so gracefully(l said to myself Kaffy must have thought them the dance steps).lt was such a beautiful wedding I didn't want to leave.

My Thoughts.....
What made the magical wedding had a lasting impression on me was the words of the cleric that officiated the wedding ceremony.
His words......
"If only we prepare for our marriages the way we prepare for our weddings. Then we will hardly have lots of marriage issues in our society"

Food for thought for everyone...

Father &Daughter

   How fathers influence daughters

       by Elizabeth Weiss McGoleric

A girl’s father is one of the most influential people in her life, from infant to toddler to tween to teen. Learn why Dad has such a big impact on his little girl’s development into a strong, confident woman.

A father's influence in his daughter's life shapes her self-esteem, self-image, confidence and opinions of men. "How Dad approaches life will serve as an example for his daughter to build off of in her own life, even if she chooses a different view of the world," says Michael Austin, associate professor of philosophy at Eastern Kentucky University and editor of Fatherhood - Philosophy for Everyone: The Dao of Daddy.

"What matters in the father-daughter relationship is that Dad seeks to live a life of integrity and honesty, avoiding hypocrisy and admitting his own shortcomings, so that she has a realistic and positive example of how to deal with the world. He should try to model a reflective approach to life's big questions so that she can seek to do the same," he adds.

Dads and daughters: From infant to toddler:

We now live in a culture where Dad is an equal partner in care giving. From day one, dads are encouraged to be hands-on, changing diapers, giving baths, putting Baby to sleep and calming her cries. That presence and effort is the beginning of a very important relationship.

According to Austin, this quality time together is crucial at all stages of a girl's life. "Dads need to spend time with their infant daughter, taking care of her physical needs and supporting her Mom," he explains. And once the little lady starts toddling around, "[i]t's essential that Dad gets down on the floor — on her level — and plays with her," Austin says.

Fathers and daughters: From tween to teen:

It's those pesky "hormonal" years that can often have dads shying away from their moody and sometimes standoffish daughter. When there's a tween girl in the house, "[d]ads should focus on cultivating a trusting relationship so that their daughters feel secure talking with them about what's going on in their lives," Austin explains. "When necessary, dads should apologize and ask for forgiveness, as this both shows respect and love to our daughters and heals the hurts that are inevitable in daily life together."

As a girl continues to grow and her teen years become fraught with complicated issues, dads should continue to work on building a trusting relationship, give affection and support her as she learns more about who she is and what kind of person she wants to become, Austin says. "It's imperative that, no matter what, dads avoid the temptation to pull away or withdraw during this sometimes challenging stage of growing up."

A father's influence on a daughter's self-image:

A dad's involvement in his daughter's life is a crucial ingredient in the development of a young woman's self-esteem. Austin identifies positive elements of "common sense" parenting for dads so they can help support their daughter's self-image and curb any possibility of low self-esteem: Verbal encouragement, being consistently present in her life, being alert and sensitive to her feelings, taking time to listen to her thoughts and taking an active interest in her hobbies. "It's important to actually do these things, which can sometimes be quite challenging," Austin adds. Direct involvement and encouragement by her father will help diminish a girl's insecurity and increase her confidence in her own abilities.

How dads influence their daughter's relationships:

The type of men that women date and have long-term relationships with are also directly related to the kind of relationship a girl has with her father. Obviously, the hope is that the father figure in a girl's life will aim to skew that young lady's opinions of men in a positive way. "He must, first and foremost, treat his daughter with respect and love. Whether or not he is married to or still together with his daughter's mom, showing respect to her mother is essential as well," explains Austin. "He must also value women as human beings, and not as persons to be used. Daughters will see what their dads believe about women by how they value and respect women, or by how they fail to do so."
